Joint Workshop: "Hydrogen Technologies in the Maritime Industry"
The FuelSOME project recently participated in the joint workshop “Technologies in the Maritime Industry”, organized in collaboration with the H2 Excellence initiative. The event brought together experts, researchers, and representatives from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working on innovative hydrogen-based solutions for the maritime sector.
During the workshop, the FuelSOME project was represented by Mr. Peter Sztrinko from AVL Hungary, who delivered a presentation on the multifuel approach developed within the project. His presentation highlighted key results regarding system efficiencies and demonstrated how flexible fuel strategies can contribute to improving energy performance and sustainability in maritime applications.
The workshop aimed to showcase innovative hydrogen technologies and fuel cell solutions developed by SMEs and research organizations. Participants had the opportunity to explore how these emerging technologies can be integrated into maritime operations and business strategies, supporting the sector’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
FuelSOME’s participation in this event provided a valuable platform to exchange knowledge with other initiatives and stakeholders, while promoting the project’s work in advancing efficient, flexible, and low-emission energy solutions for maritime transport.
Through such collaborations and dissemination activities, the FuelSOME project continues to contribute to the development and adoption of innovative energy technologies that support the decarbonization of the maritime industry.
